Now I am back with another topic, which is very interesting and useful for as well. So, my new article is based on the major departments of the hotels.

For the proper functioning of hotels, it is divided into various departments, so that there will be no chances of lacking customer’s care and facilities.

Some of the main departments are like this:

  • Front office department- Always there for you

It is the department that has the direct contact with the guests. They helps the guests to check in, check out, give all the information needed to them, carry their luggage and answer all their queries with the smiling face. It is known as the backbone of the hotel. And guests depend on them for all the information regarding hotel and its locality.

  • Housekeeping department- make sure your clean environment

Clean and hygienic surrounding attracts everyone that’s why housekeeping staff has the very important role in setting the standard and reputation of the hotel. There duty is to do proper cleaning of rooms, washrooms, balcony and corridor for guest’s satisfaction. They make sure the proper supply of soap, towel and all the stuff needed for maintaining top quality services and room decor.

  • Kitchen department

This department consists of the hidden heroes of the hotels that prepare delicious and lavish food, which helps in attracting and retaining the guests. There is a big team of chefs in the kitchen department, each for different types of cuisine and dishes.

  • Food and beverages department

Food cooked in the kitchen department is served by the food and beverage department. This includes cafe, bar, restaurant, lounge, etc. they serves food and drinks to the guest with a smile on the face and delight them with the presentation of the cooked food.

  • Accounting department

Accounting department keep the full record of all the activities related to money such as- bills, receipts, payrolls and all the expenditure and revenue of the hotel. They work with the co ordination of front staff.

  • Maintenance department

Any problem in the room, electric appliances and so on, we all need maintenance person to sort out the problem, they are the invisible helpers of the guests but helps them in the time of need.

  • Security department

This department protects the whole hotel staff, guests and property. It is the responsibility of the hotel to make sure proper security of the guest and their belongings.

When you look for the hotel to stay, you find number of hotels in the market and you get confused while the selection of the hotels. Always choose the hotel that is perfect in all the aspects mentioned above. Some hotels have good front staff but they lack housekeeping services and vice versa.
